What a weekend! Thank you to everyone who showed up and braved the weather to attend our annual auction last night. It was so wonderful to see new faces and get to enjoy the night with so many Herod families, teachers, and staff!
A HUGE shoutout to our auction chair, Amanda Shirley, and her team (Chi Chi Eigege, Judy Nelluvelil, Christina Lovely, and Janelle Long)! Also, to Paul Long and Chris Englander, Kevin and Hannah Villarreal and all the room parents who asked for and provided donations to make last night a great game night. It would not have happened without the setup and clean-up crew. I am grateful that we have a group of parents who are willing to jump in when help is needed.
The PTO fun doesn’t stop there! As I said in the General PTO Meeting there are some up and coming events that you don’t want to miss: - Help raise money for Herod this Tuesday, February 25th for our Raising Cane’s Spirit Night.
- Field day is March 7th! We need lots of parent volunteers so please sign up in the SUG link below. The schedule will be posted in next week’s newsletter.
- Yearbook dedications/ads are on sale until March 1st so don’t forget to snag that yearbook space now!
The PTO wants your feedback and would also love to gauge volunteer interest for the 2025-2026 school year. Be on the lookout in next week's newsletter and posts on social media for the two surveys! ¡Qué fin de semana! Gracias a todos los que se presentaron y desafiaron el clima para asistir a nuestra subasta anual anoche. ¡Fue maravilloso ver nuevas caras y disfrutar de la noche con tantas familias, maestros y personal de Herod!
¡Un ENORME agradecimiento a nuestra presidenta de subasta, Amanda Shirley, y su equipo (Chi Chi Eigege, Judy Nelluvelil, Christina Lovely y Janelle Long)! Además, a todos los padres de la sala que pidieron y brindaron donaciones para hacer de la noche anterior una gran noche de juegos. No habría sucedido sin el equipo de preparación y limpieza. Estoy agradecida de que tengamos un grupo de padres que están dispuestos a ayudar cuando se necesita ayuda.
¡La diversión de la PTO no termina allí! Como dije en la Reunión General de la PTO, hay algunos eventos futuros que no querrá perderse: - Ayude a recaudar dinero para Herod este martes 25 de febrero para nuestra Noche de espíritu de Raising Cane.
- ¡El día de campo es el 7 de marzo! Necesitamos muchos padres voluntarios, así que regístrese en el enlace de SUG a continuación. El cronograma se publicará en el boletín de la próxima semana.
- Las dedicatorias y anuncios del anuario están a la venta hasta el 1 de marzo, así que no olvide reservar ese espacio para el anuario ahora.
La PTO quiere sus comentarios y también le encantaría medir el interés de los voluntarios para el año escolar 2025-2026. ¡Esté atento al boletín de la próxima semana y a las publicaciones en las redes sociales para las dos encuestas!
