REMINDER that there is no school on Monday, January 19th.
I also wanted to share my personal experience from my very first school auction for any families who may still be on the fence about attending.
Auction holds a special place in my heart. That was the first time I truly experienced this amazing Jet community. I was a brand-new Kinder mom with absolutely no idea what was going on. I was still in shock that my son was actually old enough for school! I recall attending the General PTO meeting where they mentioned Auction and encouraged people to purchase tickets. I'd never been to an Auction before and wasn't sure it would be "my thing", but I figured, "Why not".
Well, let me tell you, I am so glad I did not miss that Auction. I walked in knowing zero people and walked out amazed by the fun-loving families I somehow hadn’t noticed during that overwhelming Kinder year. I was also blown away by our incredible teachers and staff, who work tirelessly every day for our kids and still show up after hours to support the school and have fun with our families.
That first Auction (and every one since) has had the same joyful, welcoming atmosphere, with parents, staff, and teachers all coming together for a carefree night away from the kids. I also met some families I now hang out with on weekends or stop and chat with when I see them at the store or around town.
If you’ve never attended an Auction, I truly encourage you to join us. You may be surprised by how much fun you have and how brightly our Jet community shines.
Tickets are on sale now for the Herod Auction on February 20th at our favorite restaurant, Cafe Piquet. The newsletter has ALL the information and links for tickets and access to the auction site.
Communication about the grade-level/classroom baskets has gone out so please, please, please make sure you contribute to your basket!
