Trunk or Treat- We're coming for you! Happy Sunday Jet Families! We are so excited to start this week because we are even closer to a Herod Fan Favorite- Trunk or Treat! We hope everyone joins us this Friday starting at 6pm in the circle drive for what is sure to be a fun filled evening!
It's also not too late to sign up to show off your Halloween themed trunk or decorate a booth while passing out candy? Here’s your chance, SIGN UP!
We can also us your generosity with candy supply for trunk or treat- this event is free to anyone who wants to participate and the candy donations come from our wonderful PTO families. If you would like to donate to the fun, you can order candy straight to the school right here.
If you are looking for a little non-kid social fun, join us Thursday night at 7pm for Mom's Night out at Bon KBBQ!
And last but not least, the deadline for art submissions for the Yearbook Cover Contest is Friday, all submissions can be dropped off at the front desk- make sure your students name is on the back of the art work.

| Get to know Mrs. Burnside! This week we had the pleasure of catching up with a long time Herod Hero- Mrs. Burnside! Mrs. Burnside moved from the first grade classroom and became Coach Burnside a couple of years ago, and now all of our Jets get to experience her love, kindness, and the excitement she brings every day! We are so lucky to have Mrs. Burnside as part of our Herod family, her love for the orange & blue jets is second to none- make sure you wave as you see her cruising by on her golf cart in the neighborhood!

What is your hidden talent? Getting a smile out of a student that may not smile so much in the regular classroom! What is your dream vacation? We have travelled all over the world, but never been to Fiji. Put me in a little hut on the water and I’m good! If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do with the money? (Besides donating a portion of it to Herod PTO) Make sure that I have set aside plenty of funds for my daughters so they can live life financially set, buy a dream home on the water, and upgrade the boat. Get plenty of pets and then retire! Herod – FOR SURE- can have a chunk! What Herod teachers class would you like to be a student in for a day? Mrs. Burnside respectfully declined to answer =) In which Hogwarts house would you be sorted? Slytherin What is your spirit animal? Salmon – don’t ask- just Googled it! Is there a quote or saying you live your life by? Work hard to play hard What is your favorite Herod memory? Being right here with my children for every step of their elementary school life, and creating bonds with so many of their teachers that are now friends. What a blessing! |

Fun on the Farm! Our Kindergarten Jets recently headed out on their first field trip to Dewberry Farms! Sometimes our grade levels don't collect enough funds to cover the entire cost of a field trip, and the school has a lot of restrictions on where funds can be directed. This is where PTO steps in to help make sure all our students can enjoy these enriching experiences. Tronco o golosina: ¡vamos por ti! ¡Feliz domingo familias Jet! Estamos muy emocionados de comenzar esta semana porque estamos aún más cerca de un favorito de los fanáticos de Herodes: ¡Baúl o golosina! Esperamos que todos se unan a nosotros este viernes a partir de las 6 p. m. en el círculo para lo que seguramente será una velada llena de diversión.
¿Tampoco es demasiado tarde para registrarte para mostrar tu baúl con temática de Halloween o decorar un stand mientras repartes dulces? Esta es tu oportunidad, ¡ REGÍSTRATE !
También podemos agradecer su generosidad con el suministro de dulces para el baúl o golosinas; este evento es gratuito para cualquiera que quiera participar y las donaciones de dulces provienen de nuestras maravillosas familias del PTO. Si desea donar para la diversión, puede pedir dulces directamente a la escuela aquí.

| ¡Conozca a la Sra. Burnside! ¡Esta semana tuvimos el placer de ponernos al día con una heroína Herodes desde hace mucho tiempo: la Sra. Burnside! La Sra. Burnside dejó el aula de primer grado y se convirtió en Entrenadora Burnside hace un par de años, ¡y ahora todos nuestros Jets pueden experimentar su amor, amabilidad y la emoción que brinda todos los días! Somos muy afortunados de tener a la Sra. Burnside como parte de nuestra familia Herodes, su amor por los jets naranjas y azules es insuperable. ¡Asegúrese de saludar cuando la vea pasar en su carrito de golf por el vecindario!

(Además de donar una parte a Herod PTO) Asegúrese de haber reservado suficientes fondos para mis hijas para que puedan vivir una vida financieramente estable, comprar la casa de sus sueños en el agua y mejorar el barco. ¡Consigue muchas mascotas y luego retírate! Herodes – SEGURO – ¡puede comer algo! ¿En qué clase de profesores de Herodes te gustaría ser estudiante por un día? La Sra. ¡Diversión en la granja! ¡Nuestros Kindergarten Jets recientemente realizaron su primera excursión a Dewberry Farms! A veces nuestros niveles de grado no recaudan suficientes fondos para cubrir el costo total de una excursión y la escuela tiene muchas restricciones sobre dónde se pueden dirigir los fondos.
