Hoping this finds everyone thawed out and ready to receive some Houston rain! 

This past week while we were hibernating the PTO had a wonderful week granting teachers fulfillment of their donors choose and grant projects. All in we funded 6 projects, ranging from supplemental curriculum materials to stocking up on classroom supplies to a Lunar New Year project. Sharing some thank you's and appreciation from our teachers with all of you. Without your support, talent, and donations, we wouldn't be able to allocated funds in such a meaningful way.

~Thank you so much!!! I feel so fortunate to post a project and have it funded the same week!!! My students and I are so fortunate for you and cannot thank you enough!!! These items are so crucial to our daily growth and education and it may not seem like a lot but it’s so special to not have to spend my own money.

~You guys rock, thank you so much! I’m excited- the kiddos will love it!

This is the largest (and most fun) fundraiser PTO hosts every year. There is so much behind the scenes volunteer work that goes into making this a pinnacle annual event, we hope everyone will join us as we raise funds to continue supporting our students, teachers & staff and community in such a wonderful- appreciated- way!

ENRICHMENT - IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

Enrichment registration has been extended!

**Classes will begin the week of January 28^th and end the week of May 20^th.**

Due to this week’s weather and low enrollment numbers for a few classes, Ms. Richard is extending the registration deadline through the end of this week.

Paper packets were sent home with students on Friday. The online version of the registration packet can be located at www.houstonisd.org/HerodELEM.

¡Esperamos que esto encuentre a todos descongelados y listos para recibir un poco de lluvia en Houston! 

La semana pasada, mientras estábamos hibernando, el PTO tuvo una semana maravillosa otorgando a los maestros el cumplimiento de los proyectos elegidos y subvencionados por sus donantes. En total, financiamos 6 proyectos, que van desde materiales curriculares complementarios hasta abastecerse de útiles escolares y un proyecto del Año Nuevo Lunar. Compartiendo algunos agradecimientos y reconocimientos de nuestros profesores con todos ustedes. Sin su apoyo, talento y donaciones, no podríamos asignar fondos de una manera tan significativa.

~ ¡¡¡Muchas gracias!!! ¡¡¡Me siento muy afortunada de publicar un proyecto y recibir financiación la misma semana!!! ¡¡¡Mis alumnos y yo somos muy afortunados por ustedes y no podemos agradecerles lo suficiente!!! Estos artículos son cruciales para nuestro crecimiento y educación diarios y puede que no parezca mucho, pero es muy especial no tener que gastar mi propio dinero.

~ ¡Ustedes son geniales, muchas gracias! Estoy emocionado, ¡a los niños les encantará!

Esta es la recaudación de fondos más grande (y más divertida) que organiza el PTO cada año. Hay mucho trabajo voluntario detrás de escena para hacer de este un evento anual pináculo, esperamos que todos se unan a nosotros mientras recaudamos fondos para continuar apoyando a nuestros estudiantes, maestros, personal y comunidad de una manera tan maravillosa y apreciada.

¡Se ha ampliado el registro de enriquecimiento!

**Las clases comenzarán la semana del  28 ^de enero y finalizarán la semana del  20 ^de mayo .**

Debido al clima de esta semana y al bajo número de inscripciones para algunas clases, la Sra. Richard está extendiendo la fecha límite de inscripción hasta el final de esta semana.
