How long have your been a teacher?
This is my first year!
Are you a morning or night person? Why?
I am a morning person. I love waking up to the sound of birds and getting to greet the sun as it rises in the sky. However, nightfall is just as poetic.
What type of food would you NEVER eat?
Haha I am a foodie so I am willing to try anything edible!
What is your favorite sport to watch and/or play?
My favorite sport to play is volleyball and I like to watch all sports!
What is your favorite day of the week? Why?
Tuesday is my favorite day and I wish I knew why haha.
What do you do in your free time?
It depends on how I am feeling in the moments, but for the most part I enjoy going to museums, parks, and concerts in my free time!
Which subject in school is your favorite? Why?
English is my favorite subject because I LOVE to research, read, and write!
What is one goal you have for yourself at Herod?
Building community is super important to me and I am super excited to connect with the faculty, staff, parents, and students at Herod!
What do you think makes a good teacher?
I think empathy, patience, compassion, kindness, intelligence, respect, collaboration, connection, and active listening make a good teacher. There are soooo many other characteristics that makes a good teacher, each teacher has their own personality ◡̈
What is your favorite family holiday tradition?
My favorite family holiday tradition is Christmas!
Where do you like to vacation?
I love going anywhere warm, preferably anywhere there is a beach!
What would the students be surprised to find out about you?
They would probably be surprised that I collect books!
What is one of your hidden talents?
One of my hidden talents is I am a writer; specifically essays, poems, prose, and short stories!
What has been your favorite teaching moment?
Although I do not have a favorite teaching moment yet, I am excited to create moments with my students and their families this upcoming school year! Plus, I am sure all the moments will be my favorite!
