Our PTO is made up of hard-working parents & teachers who pool their talents to provide practical support for our school. Those listed below volunteered to provide leadership this year. Get to know their names and faces, and feel free to ask them if you have questions.

ExEcutive board members

President

Stephanie Kaspar - president@herodpto.org

Stephanie started volunteering with the PTO two years and is excited to be a part of the PTO board. Stephanie and her husband Kyle have two kids, Colton and Morgan. Colton will be entering 2nd grade and Morgan will be entering Kindergarten. Stephanie works full-time as a civil engineer and when she is not working or up at Herod, she also volunteers at Westbury Little League helping out where needed. Her family loves tailgating for Aggie football, Astros baseball, camping, swimming, or anything outdoors.

Executive Vice President

LaTosha Rhone - LaTosha is a wife and mother of 3 including 2 current Jets and one Jet Alumni! She has been a member of the Herod PTO for many years but began working on the board during the 2022-23 school year during which she served as our Communications and Merchandise Chair. She loves all things crafty and is a Girl Scout Troop Leader in San Jacinto Council.

Vice Presidents

 Kyler Godwin - Kyler has been a member of the PTO for 4 years and is glad to be able to serve the Herod community on the PTO board. She and her husband, Ganesh, have two Herod Jets and have treasured being a part of the Herod community. Professionally, she is a healthcare leader, researcher and educator. Her family enjoys cheering for their kids at academic and sporting events, traveling to places far and near, watching movies together, trying new foods, and spending time with family and friends.

 Christina Lovely - Christina Lovely has been a part of the Herod PTO for several years.  She is sometimes known as the "School Store Lady", but she also helped out last year with Spirit Nights, Auction, and other fundraising activities.  She has a third and fifth grader at Herod and when she is not hanging out with them, or her husband Pete, she is usually walking her dog, gardening, or doing STEM experiments in the kitchen. Christina enjoys listening to audibles, crafting, dancing, and going to the theatre.

Secretary 

Courney Robinson-Trotter - Courtney began working the PTO last year as a part of the communications team and this will be her first year as a member of the board. She has one current jet entering the third grade. Both her and her husband have been educators for over a decade with experience in HISD and neighboring districts. Her family definitely shares a love for superheroes and is often finding new movies, comics, and items to collect. She is excited to be a part of this team and all the work that goes into to making Herod great!

Treasurer 

Amanda Walmer -  Amanda is the proud parent of one second grader, Miles and a future Jet, Theo (2 yo). Amanda has been on the PTO for two years and is thrilled to be joining the board for the first time. She works full-time as a development director in non-profit fundraising. Amanda and her husband, Dan, enjoying running, hiking, traveling and watching their boys play. 

Assistant Treasurer

April Lidell - April and her husband, Jarrett, are the proud parents of 2 current and 2 future Herod Jets. April has been a member of the PTO for 2 years and is excited to serve as assistant treasurer this year. She is currently a full-time stay at home mom but had a productive career as an ophthalmic photographer from 2010-2018. In her free time April enjoys gardening and creating succulent arrangements. She also loves fly fishing with her husband and can’t wait to teach their kids how to fly fish!

Teacher Representative

 Ms. Lutfak -This year marks my 7th year in education and at Herod Elementary. I have a B.S in Engineering but discovered that I love to teach more. I have 5 amazing girls, that keep me on my toes. I love to hang out with family and friends, travel, read, watch movies, and cheer on the Houston Texans and  Rockets!

Immediate Past Presidents

Sarah Schnure

Sarah has been a member of the PTO Executive Board for the last three years and active serving on committees since her kids became part of the Jet Family. She currently has two Herod Students, in 4th and 2nd grade and Jet alumnus who attends MPVA. When not volunteering at Herod, Sarah works for UTHealth Houston in Management, Finance and Operations. Sarah, her husband John, and their three kids enjoy family vacations, getting together with friends, cheering on the Astros and forever bleeding LSU Tiger purple and gold.

Ashley McDonough - Ashley is the mom of a 5th grade Jet and an alumni who is at Meyerland MS. She has been on the PTO Executive Board for 5 years in the roles of Secretary, VP, & Co-President. She has been active on the PTO by serving as Auction Chair, Spirt Night Chair, & Corporate Partnership Chair. When she isn’t doing all things PTO, she is working with her husband, Robbie, at their RV repair & storage shop, RV Masters. Ashley enjoys watching movies with her family, trying new restaurants, traveling & watching college football, Hook em’!
