How long have your been a teacher?

This is my 6th year!

Are you a morning or night person? Why?

I'm a morning person! The world is quiet and it's a great time to focus.

What type of food would you NEVER eat?

I would never eat McDonalds.

What is your favorite sport to watch and/or play?

I love to run

What is your favorite day of the week? Why?

My favorite day is Saturday. I can sleep in, go for a long run, and have an awesome pilates class.

What do you do in your free time?

Running, pilates, and baking.

Which subject in school is your favorite? Why?

My favorite subject was reading. My books took me on adventures.

What is one goal you have for yourself at Herod?

To be the kindest, most patient teacher I can be.

What do you think makes a good teacher?

Compassion, empathy, and endurance.

What is your favorite family holiday tradition?

Driving around to look at Christmas lights.

Where do you like to vacation?

In the mountains for skiing or hiking.

What would the students be surprised to find out about you?

My students would be surprised to know I was born in the 1900s

What is one of your hidden talents?

I'm great at darts!

What has been your favorite teaching moment?

Being able to foster a love of reading for each of my students.
